Skincare Review: Jane Scrivner Skincare

Today I’m going to give you my thoughts on some skincare products from Jane Scrivner Skincare.*
Jane has been in the skincare industry for over 24 years, working all around the world, her knowledge and passion is evident within her range, and willingness to educate and answer any skin queries.jane-s-1

Nourishing Cleanser (luxurious cleansing balm) This is beautiful, I have tried quite a few cleansing balms (you can find some reviews here) Firstly when you open the box, you will find a beautiful cleansing mitt, and a spatula! I love both these inclusions. The balm is not emulsifying, so you do need a flannel (or the beautifully soft cleansing mitt supplied) to remove. I find my skin is left feeling really clean, (I know that sounds silly, but I have used cleansers before where my skin still feels like it has make-up left behind) and beautifully soft! I have really fallen for this gorgeous balm, I will often use it twice in the evening as my double cleanse. There is a soft scent which I notice the Orange, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang to be most notable, It makes such a relaxing cleanse.

Skin Elixir: This is a beautiful blend of 98% Certified Organic Jojoba Oil with essential oils consisting of Ylang Ylang, Elemi, Eucalptus, Frankincense, Lemongrass, Lavender, Myrrh, Sandalwood and Sweet Orange. I have been using this in the mornings, I had typically avoided oils in the mornings, I’m not really sure why now, as I quite like this, especially under the ‘OO Cream’ which I will talk about next.
One pump is more than enough to press in to your face, I quite enjoy this blend, for keeping my parched skin hydrated.

‘OO’ Cream: The Over Oil Cream, commonly referred to as the ‘OO Cream’ is a game changer for me! As the name would suggest the cream has been specifically formulated to apply over the top of your facial oil.
I will admit, the whole oil before or after moisturiser confused me no end, I love how this product has made it a no brainer. Once again this tub comes packaged with a spatula, I literally did the tip in and pull it out, you have more than enough product, I find about 1/2 a pea size ample.
After massaging the OO cream into the skin, it takes away any shine or oil-y feeling from applying the oil.
Make-Up applies beautifully and lasts well over the top.

Jane also kindly included a sample of the affirmative facial oil and Masquerade Mask.
I got several uses from the Affirmative Facial Oil, This is a lovely lightweight blend of several oils including: apricot kernel, jojoba, moringa, red raspberry, acai, pomegranate and sea buckthorn. Full ingredients are on the product listing.
This really packs a punch, and provides a great amount of nutrients.

The Masquerade Masque is multi-masking at its finest, this clay mask, doesn’t leave the skin feeling dry and tight, yet somehow manages to decongest and nourish at once, a great weekly treatment.

I have really enjoyed using the products from Jane Scrivner, she has extensive experience and knowledge about skin and skin care which is evident within her range.
