Skincare Review: Want Skincare

A few months ago, I stumbled across a Singapore Based Skincare Company on Instagram called W.ANT Skincare, the natural range was instantly appealing, I was generously gifted their range to trial.
W.ANT is an ethical and conscious brand focused on sustainability, and empowering marginalized women, I think its so important to support companies who are actively giving back.
The lovely handwoven organic cotton gift bag is providing women in Bali, Indonesia, with an income to support their families.

I was fortunate to be gifted a range of skincare including: Beet this Honey Cleanser, Facial Spritzer, Ginger Clay Scrub Mask, a deluxe sample of the face oil, and a grapefruit lip saver.

Beet This Honey Cleanser:

This is a really unique cleanser. As the name suggests the cleanser contains honey, 60 % raw organic honey to be precise.
As you can imagine there is quite a natural stickiness to the cleanser, I find applying this to an ever so slightly damp face best, this emulsifies easily with more water, so you don’t want too much to start with, as its good for a facial massage to remove make-up and cleanse your face. I also really enjoy using this in the morning as a freshen up before my am routine.

The Ginger Clay Scrub mask:  This nifty product can be used two ways, you can either apply it as an exfoliator to cleansed skin, or mix it with a little liquid (water or the facial spritzer work well) and use it as a quick 15 mask.
You can smell the ginger, which reminds me of gingerbread, it is quite a soft delicious smell.
I quite like using it as a little mask, I add some spritzer until it forms a paste and brush onto my face for 15 minutes, it will exfoliate and deep cleanse, allowing the facial oil and other products to penetrate deeper.

The Facial Spritzer: This beautiful aqua free facial spritz contains: Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis miller) liquid, vegetable glycerin, geranium (pelargonium graveolens) oil, lavender (lavandula officinalis) oil*, orange (citrus sinensis) oil*, grape (vitis vinifera) seed oil and neroli (citrus aurantium) oil. (* Organic Ingredients) The nozzle is super fne, which makes it suitable to spritz over your make-up without distrupting it.
There is a fresh natural scent, with just a slight hint of the lavender peeking through.
I find it quite hydrating, and really lovely to use.

The Face Oil: This is a beautiful blend of Kukui (aleurites moluccanus) oil, rosehip (rosa mosqueta) oil, baobab (adansonia digitata) oil, tamanu (calophyllum inophyllum) oil and vitamin E (tocopherol). The oil absorbs beautifully into the skin, providing a mix of essential fatty acids and Vitamins A, C and E. I press in 2-3 drops of oil for healthy, hydrated luminous skin. The oil has an aroma which I can distinctly note the rosehip coming through, with the other beautiful botanicals making themselves known too. The deluxe sample size I recieved is 3ml, which is lasting me for ages, the full 30ml size would easily last several months.

Grapefruit Lip Saver: This cocoa butter based lip balm is instantly nourishing, with a hint of grapefruit coming through, the predominantly chocolatey flavour. It leaves a subtle shine, yet also allows lipsticks to be layered on top. I notice that my usually dry lips feel moisturised for a few hours before needing a reapplication. The lip balm makes a lovely addition to the WANT range.

I would really recommend this brand, I would purchase from WANT in the future. I feel it is becoming increasingly important to support ethically conscious and environmentally sustainable brands.
The products took 12 days to reach Adelaide, WANT do estimate to allow 1-2 weeks, I should also say that this was during the start of the peak season. (end of November)

Have you heard of this brand before?
