Today I will share my experiences with Samuel Gravan Skincare and Perfumes*, a few weeks ago I was kindly gifted with a few products to try including, Purifying Facial Exfoliant, Shower Gel, Night Face Oil and a few perfume samplers.
Samuel is based in Sydney, with his products being all natural, and it should go with out saying, however they are now and always will be cruelty free. The range is at an affordable price point, with various sizes to make trying his lovely range quite accessible.
First up, lets take a closer look of the Purifying Facial Exfoliant: Pictured is the 125ml bottle RRP $28.00, there is also a 50ml available for $14.00.
This is a very gentle exfoliator with ultra fine pumice used. I find the scent quite earthy, with a citrus undertone, I’ve been using this 2-3 times per week, and I have noticed that my skin feels a lot smoother, without any aggravation or irritation that can come with some of the harsher scrubs.
Facial Night Oil: Samuel’s range currently consist of a Day and a Night oil, with carefully selected ingredients for maximum efficiency. There are a few options in sizing for the oil starting with 10mls for $22.00, as regualar oil lovers will know, they last for ages as you only need a few drops.
I have been using the night oil for a few weeks and absolutely love it! It is a slightly richer oil, which is why it is recommended to use at night time.
There is also a lighter day face oil available, however you can obviously use them interchangeably depending on your skin’s needs.
My skin is normal to slightly dry and dehydrated, I find that my skin will drink up about 4 or 5 drops, leaving soft plump skin.
Ingredients: Persea Gratissma Oil (cold pressed virgin Avocado), Rosa Eglanteria Seed (Certified Organic Rose Hip), Macadamia Integrifolia Seed (Macadamia) Oil, Punica Granatum Seed (Pomegranate) Oil, Vetveria Zizanoides Root (Vetiver Organic) Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil (Ylang Ylang 1st Organic), D-Alpha Tocopherol, Glycine Soja Oil.
I find that the scent is a really light and earthy which disappears upon application. I highly recommend this facial oil.
Shower Gel The One: There are currently three different shower gels in the Samuel Gravan range, I have been using ‘The One’ I think this is a really unisex shower gel. My husband has been enjoying using it too! The One features a combination of Rosewood, Spruce Black, Black Pepper and Petitgrain essential oils. There is a very light lather with this natural shower gel. There are a number of sizing options available from a 50ml trial size, to a large 250ml pump pack.
Natural Perfumes: These natural perfumes are very lovely, there are a number of options with the perfumes being available in either spray or oil form. I have been fortunate to sample a few scents including: Neroli Fleuer, Woody Fig, and my personal favourite Vetiver Mystique, which Samuel describes as being an Earthy and Oriental scent.
I do find it a little bit difficult to review fragrances, as they are very personal.
I have found that the scents do last for most of the day, without being too overpowering. Since I had my baby I haven’t worn mainstream perfume on many occasions, as I do find they can be quite strong, I do also worry about the ingredients causing irritation on my babies skin.
With these perfumes, they are all natural, no synthetic chemicals or fillers, with a high concentration of carefully selected blend of oils.
I think Samuel Gravan has found a real gap in the current natural skincare and perfume range, these products are sure to appeal to a vast majority of people, with there neutral packaging, you can easily gift these to the man in your life and then borrow them!
Samuel has kindly offered to include perfume samples with all orders! Just leave him a little note during checkout!
