Hi Guys, in case you missed it last week I blogged about starting on a 28 day detox, you can find that post here.
I will admit the first day was super easy, I thought it would be a walk in the park.
By the afternoon of the second day, I was starting to feel a bit off crave coffee, I also hadn’t slept well (due to the kids) so I succumb to temptation and had a small coffee, I admit, I felt 100% better after.
I followed the detox regime pretty well, however I did have a little fall. I consumed all of my supplement sachets daily as and followed the salad/protein/veggies meal plan as directed, however I did have a total of 2 small coffees in the first week.
Could I have prevented the trip ups? I think If I had started to reduce coffee the week prior probably would have helped! However by making them with almond milk, I still kept dairy free.
The what to grab leaflet is a handy quick reference, so you can pick up your sachets and go.
I found all of them dissolve pretty easily, although I do mix the morning one (one complex green superfoods powder, and a triple green superfoods powder in the blender)
Here is the complex green superfood powder, as the name would suggest it is quite green, I found this to have a sweet green taste, I think that it is pretty easy to drink, even if you are not a green smoothie person.
I feel a lot more prepared for week 2 now. One of the other things I would have done a little bit differently, was to pre cut some cucumber/carrot sticks for snacks and put a few nuts in a container for when your out and about.
Have you ever tried any type of detox before?
I’d love to know, this is my first one.
I tried detoxing once – lasted 36 hours before I caved in & ate a schnitzel, chips & salad washed down with a Coke lol. I know that’s a bad example (my willpower is non-existent at times), but I guess what I’m trying to say is that we’re all human & it’s ok to slip up every now & again. I didn’t get back on the wagon the next day because I felt that detoxing wasn’t for me, but it does help to be prepared.

It does take a lot of commitment, I think I should have started with a shorter one, however I’ve made it to the halfway mark, so hopefully its smooth sailing from here!
