Body Pampering with Botani

Hi Guys, I don’t know about you, but sometimes I do neglect my body care a little bit, whilst I’m religious with my skincare, there are times when I just use a body wash and moisturiser, whilst there is nothing wrong with that, there is something so luxurious and relaxing about using a body scrub and a body oil.

Lately I have been enjoying the Botani Spirulina Salt Scrub* and Botani Nourishing Body Oil,* Botani is a natural Australian made and owned company (in Melbourne to be precise), the products are all vegan and cruelty free.

The Botani Spirulina Salt Scrub is divine, as soon as you open the large tub, a beautiful fresh lemony scent wafts out, this is so heavenly in the shower the aroma really fills the bathroom. The salt provides a nice invigorating scrub, leaving your skin feeling beautifully soft and smooth.

One of the other things I really like is when you read the ingredients, you can actually  understand what everything in the salt scrub is!

Ingredients: Sea Salt, Glycerin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Flour, Coco-Betaine, Olea Europa (Olive Butter), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate, Squalane (Olive), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Spirulina Platensis Powder, Backhousia Citriodora (Australian Lemon Myrtle) Oil, Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin) Oil, Chlorophyll.

After you have jumped out of the shower, I prefer my skin to be slightly damp still, as I find the oil absorbs slightly quicker, I spritz a few pumps of the nourishing body oil, and massage in to my skin, there is a slight lemony scent to the body oil, I also notice the sandalwood scent peeking through too.

Once again the ingredients list is really easy to understand:

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Squalene (Olive), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Leptospermum Petersonii (Australian Lemon Scented Tea Tree) Oil, Santalum Album (Australian Sandalwood) Oil

There is seriously nothing better than having a little evening pampering before slipping into bed with freshly washed sheets!

Have you tried anything from the Botani Range before?

*Product/s kindly provided for consideration, these are my own and honest opinions.

  1. Sure have! I was a devotee of their Olive Hand Cream until Priceline stopped stocking it. :o( I’ve also tried the Spirulina Salt Scrub (not scrubby enough for me, but smelt gorgeous), the Coconut & Lime Body Oil (unsure if they still have it, but it too smelt gorgeous & I used it far too quickly) & the Olive Skin Serum (unfortunately the pure Vitamin C/ascorbic acid irritated my skin).
