Review: Beauty Heros Subscription Box

Hi Guys! I have been meaning to review the Beauty Heroes Subscription box for a few months now.

I have had my subscription since November. The box costs $39 USD per month and a further $18.95 USD per month for delivery to Australia (free delivery within the US) You can select the period (3, 6 or 12 months) in which you would like to subscribe for and pay for it up front, I paid for a 6 month subscription.

One of the reasons I chose Beauty Heroes is because I have a preference towards (mostly) green Beauty I felt like this was a good fit for me, you can find out about the Beauty Heroes selection process here.

They have a stringent criteria for the ingredients inclusion in each product, also if you do have any allergies/sensitivities you can let Beauty Heroes know and they will let you know in advance what the next month’s product is allowing you to accept or opt out.

One of the other aspects which sets Beauty Heroes apart is that generally you get one full sized product and a generous ‘side kick’ often a half sized product from the same brand.

The box that made me sign up was November’s Box a full sized Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask, Travel Sized Hydration Accelerator and a deluxe sample of his (then) unreleased perfume Ethereal, which also started my love affair with Josh and his brand.

The Cacao Antioxidant Mask has a RRP $99 AUD and the 30ml Hydration Accelerator $33 AUD and a deluxe sample of the new fragrance Ethereal $7 AUD from Australian based retailers, so getting them all for $57.95 USD (approx $75 AUD at the time) was a great savings for products on my wish list!

December’s Box included MUN Akwi Cleanser and Ikechi Organic Cleansing Towel, and a $20 voucher to spend towards MUN (which I didn’t end up using)

January’s Inclusion was from Maya Chia featuring the power couple facial oil and a deluxe waterless balm.

February’s Included a night body oil from Osmia with full sized lip doctor lip balm.

I’m so obsessed with body oils at the moment, and this night time one with a hint of lavender is just lovely!

I have just received March’s box a few days ago which included the entire recently rebranded innersense hydrate range, hairbath and conditioner, leave in conditioner and a multi-purpose oil (all of which are full size!)

One of the other aspects I love is that on the first of the month I always receive a tracking email from Beauty Heroes letting me know my parcel is on its way, it usually takes between 7-10 days to arrive, I’ve found my packages seem to get stuck in Sydney (customs I assume) for 3-4 days

Whilst you are a subscriber you are also entitled to 15% off in the Beauty Heroes online store (shipping is a flat $18.95 to Australia) and if you spend over $125 there is a free gift!

If you are interested in subscribing I have a referral link here. If 3 people subscribe I receive a free month. Everyone who signs up receives their own code so you can refer your friends too.

What are some of the qualities you look for in a subscription box?
