November 2017: Bits I’ve Finished

Hey guys! I had a bit of a massive empties, and struggled to find time to post this, anyway here we go!

As we approach the end of the year I’ve also started a bit of a declutter December, when we moved a few months back we did give away a lot of excess stuff (Clothes/Toys etc) I’ve started a bit of a hit list on a few products that need to be finished, some of my empties are not quite finished, but have been around for too long so it’s time to move them on.

I knew I’d had a big month, I think this is my biggest empties post yet!! I’ll try and keep it short, so let me know in the comments if you would like me to elaborate on anything!

Skinceuticals 0.3 Retinol: finished this, I think it is a great entry level Retinol, would consider the stronger Skinceuticals one in the future.

Alpha-H: I really liked the beauty sleep peel, it is a retinol and glycolic blend, I really noticed a bit of a glow in the morning, will consider.

By Terry Hydra Radiance Serum: I loved this and it smelt like roses, but I think there are plenty of more affordable hydrating serums.

Bioderma Sensibo Toner*: Oops, I didn’t realised this was best within 6 months, there was a small amount left, as I’ve had its closer to 12, given I didn’t finish it, likely won’t purchase.

Sonya Dakar Eye Wash: This was a nice oil based eye make up remover, once again though more affordable options, I don’t think you need to spend too much on an eye makeup remover, even if this did last ages.

Karinda Purifying Cleanser*: You can find my review here, I really loved this cleanser and used it once, sometimes twice a day, will consider a repurchase.

BotanicES Face Cream*: I quite liked this face cream, it would be great especially being Summer as it is very lightweight, I’ve spoken about BotanicES here

Votary Toning Serum: I didn’t find this overly effective, it feels like water, there is a smudge left as I had to move this on, I wouldn’t repurchase.

Mahalo Rare Indigo Balm: I didn’t love this, its a balm to oil formulation which has a eucalyptus scent, which I think put me off slightly, I ended up using this on the body more than the face to finish it off.

De Mamiel Intense Nurture Antioxidant Serum: I used this mini for one week, its nice, and if your looking for a green beauty serum (not oil called a serum) this could be an option. I touched on De Mamiel here

Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask: Love this, I’ve been wanting to do a brand focus for months, hopefully next year, have repurchased this already, its a good mask when you want to mask but don’t know what to use, it kind of nourishes and leaves the skin feeling healthy and fresh.

Hylamide Photography Foundation: I think I might like this more now, I’m really happy with my skin for the last few months, but its been open way to long to try it again, I was indifferent to it when I first got it.

Bioderma BB Cream*: This was in shade light, however unfortunately it was a bit too dark even in Summer, I did use some lightening drops on a few occasions, but I don’t have time in the mornings to spend an extra few seconds mixing lol

Essence Volume Curl and Hold: I picked this up in the Priceline Sale for a few dollars ( I think full price is about $6 AUD) I quite liked it, but it did dry up quite quickly (6 weeks or so) for the price can’t complain, and would possibly repurchase.

Australis Midas touch Serum primer: I used this about 4 times, one morning I spend it and the dropper bit had shattered, It seemed nice enough, it wasn’t overly sparkly, I probably wouldn’t repurchase as it didn’t wow me, and I do have a few other primers anyway, I picked it up in the Priceline sale, and couldn’t be bothered trying to get a replacement. (Decluttering Mood!)

Loreal Botanicals Shampoo and Conditioner Coriander*: I have a really oily scalp and dry ends, and I did actually find this shampoo and conditioner really good, my hair stayed good for a few days before the oil started creeping back. If I wasn’t moving away from the big brands (not cruelty free) I would reconsider.

Josh Rosebrook Balance Shampoo and Conditioner: I actually feel like I want to try this again, I’m on the fence, I think because I was swapping between a few shampoos. First impressions was that my hair felt and looked great, but, I found I needed to wash it every day, aint nobody got time for that, hence why I liked the Loreal one above as I could easily get 3 days, I do wonder if I had of stuck with it and used it exclusively if, I could have tried to prolong the time between washes. Possibly Repurchase.

Jack N’ Jill Kids*: This is really great, you can read my review here it really bubbles up quite well and is gentle on the kids scalps when you wash their hair too, will repurchase.

Phew! There you go.

Let me know if you want me to clarify anything below.

* Kindly Gifted, my own and honest opinions.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and Happy New Year if I don’t make it back before then, I will try and get one more post up before December empties, but no guarantees!
