Brand Focus: Cosima Skincare

Hi Guys, Today I’m going to share my experience with Cosima Skincare.

This is a brand I’ve had on my radar for about 3 years, they are 100% Australian Made and Owned, and certified Organic, you can read more about the brand here

One of the other reasons I was drawn to this brand is that they transparently provide clinical evidence, on how their ingredients and products are proven to work, if your looking for some extra reading, definitely check it out here.

I’ve been using Cosima Skincare for around 3 months, almost exclusively in the mornings.

I first purchased the Vitamin C Serum and The PhotoActive Hydrator/Toner in nourishing, during a promo at the end of August, I had put the Vitamin C aside to finish the one I was using, but instantly fell in love the Mist.

Cosima Skincare kindly reached out to me and sent me a few extra products in the middle of November, being the Gentle Cleansing Milk, Flawless Cream and Flawless Eye Cream, which completed a full routine.

All of the packaging is airless pump packaging, which helps to maintain the integrity of the organic ingredients, although you should still aim to finish them within 6 months.

Gentle Cleansing Milk*: This is the perfect morning cleanser. I’d say the cleanser is slightly thicker than most milk cleansers almost cream like, there is a light fresh scent, which is invigorating in the morning. This cleanser does also remove makeup/SPF really well too.

Ingredients: Aloe barbadensis miller(aloe vera) juice*, Macadamia integrifolia oil*, , Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate**, Certified Organic Cocos nucifera(coconut)oil*, Prunis Amygdalus(Sweet Almond)oil*, Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Vitamin B5(DPanthenol),Vegetable glycerine*, Fragrance (natural preservative), Argania spinosa (argan) oil*, Lycium barbarum (Goji Berry) extract*, Althea officianalis (marshmallow) extract*, Vaccinium myrtillus (bilberry leaf) extract*,Calendula officinalis extract*, Symphytum officinale (comfrey) extract*,Vitamin E(tocopherol),Xanthan gum, Jasmine Grandiflorum Essential Oil, Citrus aurantifolia (lime) oil*, Rosemary antioxidant. * Certified Organic ** Eco Cert

PhytoActive Hydrator/Toner in Nourishing: As much as I love mists, I’d kind of settled down with Josh Rosebrook’s Hydrating Accelerator, as I’d never tried any others that where truly as hydrating as that. When I had a closer look at the Ingredients in Cosima Skincare’s Nourishing toner I thought it looked great.

Ingredients *Aloe Barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera) Juice, *Rose Damascena Hydrosol, Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), *Olea Europaea (Olive Leaf) Extract, *Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, *Chamaemelum Nobile (Chamomile) Extract, *Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey) Extract, Terminalia Ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Extract, *Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, *Vegetable Glycerine, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Aqua, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Anisate,Parfum/fragrance (Natural Preservative), Tangerine (Citrus Reticulata) Essential Oil, *Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Phytate, Potassium Sorbate. *Certified Organic

I’ve been really impressed with the Cosima Hydrator, it doesn’t have a real discernible scent, just quite light fresh and natural, its kind of the easiest way to describe it, and it actually hydrates! Plus its only $29.95.

Pure Potent C Skin Illuminating Serum: For my morning serum, I like to use a good antioxidant serum, usually I gravitate towards Vitamin C, because it has been proven to help with inflammation, maintaining brighter and healthier skin. This formula utilises Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate at 20%, the benefit to using this form of Vitamin C is that it can be kept stable at a higher concentration.

The serum has a light creamy type consistency and layers well with other products. I haven’t experienced any irritation at all with this.

“Ingredients *Aloe Barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera) Juice, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, *Rose Damascena Hydrosol,*Prunis Amygdalus (Sweet Almond) Oil, **Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, *Vegetable Glycerine, Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract, *Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil & Lecithin & Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Extract & Lycium Barbarum (Goji) Fruit Extract, *Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil & Lecithin & Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract & Corthellus Shiitake (Mushroom) Extract, *Olea Europaea (Olive Leaf) Extract, *Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, *Lycium Barbarum (Goji Berry) Extract, *Calendula Officinalis Extract, *Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Extract, Fragrance (Natural Preservative), **Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Olive Oil, Olive Oil Unsaponifiable, *Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Oil, Xanthan Gum, Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Citric Acid. *Certified Organic **Eco Cert”

In the above photo you can get a better idea of the consistency and packaging.

Flawless Eye Cream*: I find eye creams a little bit difficult to review, I don’t have major eye area issues, however being 35 I do use one more for prevention, to hopefully keep fine lines away. The eye cream is a medium consistency, which is perfect, its not too heavy nor too thin. Once again no real discernible scent, just the light freshness which is present throughout the range.

I find one pump is ample for both eyes, which provides hydration without feeling greasy.

Ingredients *Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera) Juice, *Macadamia Integrifolia Oil, **Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide),* Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Oat Beta Glucan, **Acacia Senegal Gum (and) Hydrolyzed Rhizobain Gum, **Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Esculentus Extract (and) Dextrin, *Rosa rubiginosa (Rose Hip) Oil, **Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Olive Oil, Olive Oil Unsaponifiable, Pichia/ Resveratrol Ferment Extract, **Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Vitamin E (Tocopherol), *Eleutherococcus Senticosus (Ginseng) Extract, Vitamin B5 (DPanthenol), *Cucumis Sativa (Cucumber) Extract, *Vegetable Glycerine*, Fragrance (Natural Preservative), Xanthan Gum, *Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Fruit Extract, *Essential Oils Of Jasmine And Honeysuckle, Rosemary Antioxidant *Certified Organic **Eco Cert

Flawless Cream*: Once again, I really love the airless pump on the jar. One pumps plenty for my face and neck area. I find this moisturiser slightly on the thicker side consistency wise, I usually give it a few minutes to sink in, whilst either making a second coffee, or staring into my wardrobe declaring I have nothing to wear before continuing with SPF and Makeup.

Whilst it is slightly thicker, the flawless cream is very easy to spread and it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I still think that most skin types would still like this. It does provide a really good base for your makeup.

Ingredients *Aloe Barbadensis Miller (Aloe Vera) Juice, *Rose Damascena Hydrosol,*Prunis Amygdalus (Sweet Almond) Oil, **Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), ** Hydrolyzed Hibiscus Esculentus Extract (and) Dextrin, Oat Beta Glucan, *Macadamia Integrifolia Oil, Thermus Thermophilus, Ferment, *Rosa Rubiginosa (Rose Hip) Oil, **Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Olive Oil, Olive Oil Unsaponifiable, *Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, *Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract, Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract, **Acacia Senegal Gum (and) Hydrolyzed Rhizobain Gum, **Chlorella Vulgaris Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Vitamin E (Tocopherol), *Vegetable Glycerine, Fragrance (Natural Preservative), Xanthan Gum, *Carica (Papaya) Extract, *Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium) Oil, Rosemary antioxidant *Certified Organic **Eco Cert

I have been really impressed with the Cosima Skincare Range, it is really obvious to me that they have spent a lot of time researching and formulating their products well.

My skin feels quite healthy and fresh, since I have been incorporating the Cosima Skincare range.

*Product/s kindly gifted, however these are my own and honest opinions.

This review is a mix of gifted and purchased products.

Have you tried Cosima Skincare before? I’d love to know your thoughts.
