Brand Overview: Botani Skincare

Hi Guys,

Today I wanted to share with you a few products from Botani*, which I have been using lately.

Botani is made locally in Melbourne, and their entire range is cruelty free and Vegan, you can read more about the brand on their website here.

The products I’ve been using include, the Acai Berry Antioxidant Serum, The Olive Skin Serum and the Phytoseptic Natural Anti-Fungal Skin Cream.

Lets start with the Acai Berry Active Antioxidant Serum.

Firstly this serum smells like mixed berries, it is amazing! It is quite light, yet does have quite a high oil content, which comes through in the consistency in the formula.

I have used this in both the morning and the evening, you only need a few drops so the 15ml bottle will last quite awhile.

This serum is packed with antioxidants, and minerals with the short and sweet ingredients list:

Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Berry) Oil, Squalene (Olive), Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Seed Oil, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Seed Oil, Coco-Caprylate, Bisabolol, d-alpha-Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E)

Next up is the Olive Skin serum, I found this serum to be quite a bit lighter than the Acai Berry Antioxidant serum.

The serum is quite fluid, and absorbs into the skin in seconds, I’ve noticed that this has helped hydrate my skin too.

If you wanted to use both the serums at once, I would use this one first.

Once again, an easy to read and understand ingredients list:

Squalene (olive), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Lecithin, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C).

Lastly the Phytoseptic Anti-Fungal Skin Cream.

I initially wondered how I was going to use this, however there are so many uses, its been a very reached for product.

My son fell over and had a large sore graze on his leg, which was really bothering him, so I dabbed a little bit if this on it and he immediately felt some relief, and then asked for some more on the now less reddened graze the following morning.

It is quite a handy product, which will last for awhile as you only need a tiny bit as it does spread well, it is creamy, non sticky formula.

The Active Ingredients include: Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal).
Potassium Sorbate 3mg/g, Benzyl Alcohol 15mg/g.

  1. I’ve tried a number of Botani products before including the Olive Skin Serum, which my skin sadly didn’t get along with due to the Vitamin C. I think the formula has been tweaked since I used it though, but I’m not game enough to go there again knowing my issues with that ingredient. I’m a huge fan of their Olive Hand & Body Cream & I’m so glad Priceline have decided to re-stock it again as I’ve missed it.
