July 2018: Bits I’ve finished.

Is this year just racing by or what?

We took a holiday to NZ and had a fab time in the snow.

I also made an effort to use up a few samples!

Here are the bits I’ve finished in July……

Shore Soap Co Body Wash in Mermaid Kisses: This is lovely, especially if you like minimally scented body washes, that are sulfate free.

Josh Rosebrook Vital Balm Cream: I love this stuff, you only need the smallest bit, I mostly use it at night and wake up soft hydrated skin, have repurchased.

Bio Extracts Eye Contour*: This is such a great concept, the airless pump eye cream is quite hydrating, then you mix in a little bit of your chosen booster depending on your eye concern. Bio Extracts is also vegan and cruelty free.

Now for the samples:

It’s hard to say too much when you only get 1-2 uses so I’ll keep it short:

James St Organics purifying skin toner: lovely soft rose scent.

Madara Anti-fatigue eye cream: no real scent, light yet hydrating.

Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream: Good for winter, a thicker moisturiser.

Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Oil: emulsifying oil cleanser.

Mecca Cosmetica Cleanser and Moisturiser: the cleanser was a gel to milk which performed well, but the sample had a strong alcohol scent which was too much for me. The moisturiser was nice, a thicker formula, but absorbed well.

* Product/s Kindly gifted, these are my own and honest opinions.

Have you guys tried any of these products?

  1. How do you incorporate eye cream? I’ve read some skincare routines that use both eye cream and serums. So which should be done first?

  2. First time hearing of Bio-Extracts-I’m intrigued! I’m curious about what you do with empty jars like the JR one.
